AVERY CAREY #ItsCoach

Avery Carey brings a wealth of experience to ACED Hoops Academy. A standout player at North Hagerstown High School, he went on to excel at Hagerstown Community College before earning a full athletic scholarship to George Mason University. At GMU, Avery helped lead his team to a CAA conference championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.

After graduation, Avery's passion for basketball took him overseas, where he played professionally in Holland and Luxembourg. Upon returning to the States, he transitioned into coaching, serving as Assistant Women's Coach at Frostburg State University and later coaching at his alma mater, Hagerstown Community College.

With over 25 years of experience playing and coaching at various levels, Avery has developed a unique approach to training that combines technical skills, strategic thinking, and mindset coaching. His coaching style is characterized by high energy, personalized attention, and a focus on holistic player development.
